Dr. Lyons is a native West Michigander and graduate of Jenison High School where he received numerous awards for excellence in academics, sports and leadership. His collegiate career is equally stellar, earning his undergraduate degree in Strength and Conditioning at the University of Findlay, Master of Science degree in Exercise Physiology from WMU and his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from GVSU. Prior to entering into concierge private practice, Dr. Lyons completed clinical rotations at healthcare, rehab and sports medicine facilities throughout Michigan and in Colorado.
Dr. Lyons is a licensed and State Board Certified Physical Therapist, currently holding 13 professional certifications and association memberships across diverse specialty areas. These specialty areas include: therapeutic dry needling and blood flow restriction utilizing surgical grade tourniquet systems, extracorpeal shockwave therapy, laser/led therapy, MSK ultrasonography (mobile method of imaging tissues on demand), and elite level strength & conditioning. He is a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopaedic physical therapy through the board of American Physical Therapy Specialties. This distinction puts Dr. Lyons in the top 8% of practicing clinicians around the world. His clinical approaches are novel in that he is able to incorporate comprehensive patient evaluations using state of the art technology, point of care diagnostic ultrasound imaging, regenerative medicine, and 3 dimensional movements seemlessingly in the comfort of patients homes. This approach leads to greater accuracy in diagnosing the source of a patients problem (versus masking symptoms), and quicker tissue healing/regeneration. There are currently no other fully mobile practices in the United States that are able to offer the diversity of treatment options i’Therapy provides in home.
Dr. Lyons is board certified and registered in musculoskeletal ultrasound imaging offering patients better diagnostic and prognostic information. The RMSK sonography examination through the Alliance for Physician Certification and Advancement (APCA) tests knowledge and skills required in making a reliable diagnosis and performing invasive procedures in musculoskeletal-related conditions. By earning the Registered in Musculoskeletal (RMSK) sonography certification, physicians and advanced care providers gain a critical edge in promoting themselves as preeminent practitioners world wide. Dr. Lyons is the only Physical Therapist is the state of Michigan whom is RMSK board certified (all others are physicians: 11 MDs, 9 DOs). There are 21 RMSK clinicians in the state of Michigan, 554 in the USA, and 1431 in the world as of January 2024.
Dr. Lyons has worked with diverse patient populations, providing inpatient-rehabilitation for traumatic brain injuries, strokes, amputations, Parkinson’s disease and multiple sclerosis. In the acute-care/SICU/ICU environment he has provided Physical Therapy expertise for cardiothoracic post-operative care, orthopedic traumas and joint replacements. As one of the worlds leading concierge service providers, Dr. Lyons treats neuromusculoskeletal conditions, orthopedic conditions, and elite level athletes. A large portion of his practice serves C-suite executives due to the demanding nature of this populations occupational commitments and time constraints.
In 2019 Dr. Lyons was selected to participate as a prestigious Fellow of Applied Functional Science from the world renowned Gray Institute for Functional Transformation (GIFT). GIFT establishes credibility in the movement industry, as well as equips fellows with ongoing education that allows each to become a more efficient and effective practitioner, especially in the areas of assessment, training and conditioning, rehabilitation, and injury prevention. This post doctoral fellowship has created a unique way to incorporate a 3 dimensional movement approach to addressing and restoring patients pain and preventing further progression of pathologies.
Dr. Lyons is passionate about achieving excellence - in service to others, continuing education, and enhancing physical health & wellness through therapy, exercise and sports. In his spare time, he enjoys hiking, biking, camping, and mountaineering.
Courtney Rose

Courtney is an essential part of the i’Therapy team. She assumes daily responsibilities involved with aspects of patient care, communication with outside health care providers, and coordination of the “nuts and bolts” involved with daily operations. She accompanies Dr. Lyons during new patient initial evaluations and all female patient/client visits. She works diligently to make every patient feel comfortable and engages in their stories to meet a variety of needs that often arise. Courtney ensures a smooth and efficient patient evaluation by assisting Dr. Lyons and his needs making it possible to obtain a more thorough examination of each patient. She’s detail oriented during each appointment and enjoys the connection shes able to make with i’Therapy patients/clients. Courtney also completes dictations ensuring that each patients treatments are clearly documented and HIPPA compliant. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two kids when she isn’t working and loves the involvement she has in their school on a day to day basis.
